Nanotechnologies are in use today, blood techniques
and evaluations towards cell doping are gathering
speed. Scientific research groups of both WADA and
IOC are making serious studies and substantial budg-
ets are allocated for this field. Revelation of USA cy-
clist Lance Armstrong’ doping case and his admission
caused vast changes in the international dimension of
the matter. Our athletes too are investigated retrospec-
tively and their positive or negative results hit the me-
dia. To be engaged in doping and not being caught is
now out of question. The related persons must follow
the WADA List of Prohibited Substances closely because
it is constantly being updated. I must particularly speci-
fy that the determination of Turkey and the Anti-Doping
Commission of the NOCT in fighting against doping is
very much appreciated by the IOC and WADA and ex-
pressed in written form. One of the most positive de-
velopments in the area has been the establishment of
a Parliamentary Investigation Committee at the Grand
National Assembly of Turkey. We wholeheartedly sup-
port Istanbul Deputy Hon. Aşkın Bak, the President of
the Committee and a sports person.
The NOCT report ‘A comparative Analysis of High-
Performing National Olympic Committees’ investigat-
ing the sport structures of the successful countries in
the sports world and the ‘Strategic Plan’ prepared with
contributions from all our members and stakeholders,
put forth the problems the sports face in our country
and their solutions for consideration. Implementation
of the ‘Strategic Plan’ shall only be possible with the
support and active involvement of all stakeholders and
partners. NOC of Turkey, ready to support all multi-par-
ticipation efforts to maintain a sustainable level of suc-
cess of the Turkish sports, and shall always continue to
assist participation and achievement oriented practic-
es proportionate with the allocated resources and cre-
ation of a contemporary sports management model in
our country.

WADA gerekse IOC bilimsel çalışma grupları ile cid-
di çalışmalar yapıyorlar, bu alanda önemli bütçeler
harcanıyor. ABD’li bisikletçi Lance Armstrong’un do-
ping yaptığının ortaya çıkarılması ve onun da bunu
itiraf etmesi işin uluslararası boyutunda büyük de-
ğişimlere yol açtı. Bizim sporcularımız da günümüz-
de geriye dönük sorgulanıyor ve bunların olum-
lu veya olumsuz sonuçları zaman zaman medya-
da yer alıyor. Artık doping yapıp yakalanmamak gibi
bir şey söz konusu değil. İlgili kişilerin WADA’nın ya-
saklı maddeler listesini çok yakından takip etme-
si gerekiyor, çünkü liste sürekli güncelleniyor. Şunu
özellikle belirtmeliyim ki; TMOK Dopingle Mücadele
Komisyonu’nun ve Türkiye’nin dopingle mücadele-
deki kararlılığı IOC ve WADA tarafından takdirle kar-
şılanmaktadır. Bunun yazılı belgeleri elimizde mev-
cuttur. Bu alanda yaşanan en olumlu gelişmelerden
birisi de TBMM’de bir Araştırma Komisyonu kurul-
ması oldu. Komisyon Başkanı ve İstanbul Milletvekili,
Spor Adamı Sayın Osman Aşkın Bak’ın çabalarını gö-
nülden destekliyoruz.
TMOK olarak; üyelerimiz, tüm paydaşlarımız ile bir-
likte hazırlamış olduğumuz ‘Stratejik Planımız’ ve
dünyada sporda başarılı ülkelerin yapılanmaları-
nı inceleyen ‘Yüksek Performanslı Milli Olimpiyat
Komitelerinin Analizi’ raporumuz ülke sporunda üze-
rinde çalışılması gereken sorunları ve çözümleri or-
taya koymaktadır. TMOK Stratejik Planı’nın tüm un-
surlarıyla hayata geçirilmesi Türk sporunun tüm
paydaşlarının desteği ve aktif katılımı ile mümkün
olabilecektir. Türk sporunun sürdürülebilir başarı-
ya ulaşmasına yönelik çok katılımlı çabalara her tür-
lü desteği vermeye hazır olan TMOK, ülkemizde çağ-
daş bir spor yönetim modelinin, spora ayrılan kay-
naklar ile orantılı katılım ve başarıya yönelik uy-
gulamaların her zaman destekçisi olmaya devam
edecektir.
