ile işbirliği ile yapıldığını akıl-
da tutmak gerekir. Türkiye Milli
Olimpiyat Komitesi, Dopingle
Mücadele Komisyonu, yeni re-
vize edilen Dünya Dopingle
Mücadele Kuralları ve
Uluslararası Standartların so-
ruşturmaları ve istihbarat ça-
lışmalarını güçlendireceğini
ve Dopingle Mücadele kuru-
luşlarıyla işbirliğini artıracağı-
nı gözlemlemekten çok mutlu-
dur. Doping örgütlü bir suçtur.
Doping yapan sporcu, yardım
eden antrenör, bilen takım ar-
kadaşı, reçete eden sağlık uz-
manı, destekleyen kulüp yöne-
ticisi, affeden federasyon yö-
neticisi, satan eczacı, bu suç
örgütünün içindedir. Ne ya-
zık ki spor ve egzersiz dünya-
sında yaptırımlar dopingi ön-
lemek için yetersiz kalmakta-
dır. Sıklıkla, yalnızca cezalan-
dırılan kişi sporcu ve nadiren
antrenörü olmaktadır. Biz yeni
revize edilen Dünya Dopingle
Mücadele Kuralları’nın sporcu
destek personelinin işbirliği-
ni açık şekilde tariflemesini ve
onlara sert yaptırımlar vermek
için büyük bir fırsat vermesini
takdir ediyoruz. Son olarak,
Dünya Dopingle Mücadele
Kuralları ve Uluslararası
Standartlar hazırlama ekip-
lerinin mükemmel çalışmala-
rı için tebrik etmek istiyoruz
ve bu değerli revizyon süreci-
ne katılan tüm paydaşlara ve
Dünya Konferansının tüm katı-
lımcılarına teşekkür etmek is-
tiyoruz. Türkiye Milli Olimpiyat
Komitesi Dopingle Mücadele
Komisyonu WADA ve diğer do-
pingle mücadele kuruluşları
ile işbirliğine devam edecek-
tir ve temiz sporcuların hak-
larını korumak için yeni re-
vize edilen Dünya Dopingle
Mücadele Kuralları’nın uy-
gulanmasına katılmak için
sabırsızlanmaktadır.”
However, we received sig-
nificant support from the
clean athletes and from their
coaches. From the optimistic
point of view, the situation is
encouraging because those
cases proved that the system
of doping control is function-
ing. It must be kept in mind
that this was done within an
independent system, code
compliant Anti-doping regu-
lations, increased investiga-
tions and intelligence work
in collaboration with WADA
and relevant International
Federations. Anti-Doping
Commission of the Turkish
Olympic Committee is
pleased to observe that
the new revised Code and
International Standards are
strengthening investigations
and intelligence work and in-
creasing the collaboration
of anti-doping organizations.
Doping is an organized crime.
Athlete who dopes, coach
who helps, teammate who
knows, club manager who
supports, the health profes-
sional who prescribes, feder-
ation administrator who for-
gives and pharmacist who
sells, all are within this crimi-
nal organization. Regrettably,
the rules and sanctions are
inadequate in preventing
doping in the world of sports
and exercises. Frequently, the
only sanctioned person is the
doped athlete and rarely, his
or her coach. We appreciate
that the new revised World
Anti-Doping Code gives great
opportunity in clarification of
the prohibited cooperation
between the athlete and the
support personnel and of-
fer tougher sanctions to them.
Finally, we would like to con-
gratulate the drafting teams
of the Code and International
Standards for their excel-
lent work and thank all stake-
holders who participated in
this valuable revision pro-
cess and all participants of
the World Conference on
Doping in Sport. Anti-Doping
Commission of the National
Olympic Committee of Turkey
looks forward to continued
collaboration with WADA and
with the other anti-doping or-
ganizations and impatiently
expects to participate in the
implementation of the new
Revised Code in order to pro-
tect clean athletes’ rights.”
