‘Sporcu Bulunabilirlik Formu’na
dahil olan ve federasyonu ya
da WADA tarafından takibe alı-
nan sporcunun, verdiği adres-
te 18 ay içinde üç kez bulun-
maması halinde dopingli sa-
yılmasında süre 12 aya çekil-
di. WADA, süreyi kısaltarak, bu
konuda sporcunun öne sürdü-
ğü “İstemeyerek veya unutkan-
lıktan oldu” gibi mazeretleri-
nin önüne geçmeyi planlıyor.
Uluslararası Olimpiyat
Komitesi’nin (IOC) yeni baş-
kanı Alman Thomas Bach,
Konferanstaki konuşmasında,
“Aslında ben ilk doping ihlalin-
de ömür boyu men cezası ve-
rilmesini savunuyordum ancak
süreç içerisinde yasal konu-
larla uğraşan meslektaşlarım
bunun mümkün olamayaca-
ğını söyledi” diyerek, doping
kullanımının ne kadar ciddi bir
problem olduğunun altını çizdi
ve cezanın iki yıldan dört yıla
çıkarılmasına güçlü bir şekil-
de destek verdi. Bach, “Tüm bu
çabalarımızın tek amacı var, o
da temiz sporcuları, fair play
ruhu içinde yarışan sporcula-
rı korumak. Dopingle müca-
deleye harcanan milyonlarca
dolar, bizim için masraf değil,
sporun geleceğini garanti altı-
na almaktır. Sporun iyi bir ge-
leceğe sahip olması, bizim do-
pingle ne kadar savaştığımıza
bağlı. Öte yandan temiz spor
yapan temiz sporcular, bizim
sorumluluğumuzda ve tüm
bu çabalarımızı hak ediyorlar”
ifadelerini kullandı.
TMOK Başkanı Prof. Dr. Uğur
Erdener ise konuyla ilgili ola-
rak yaptığı açıklamada, “Güney
Afrika’nın Johannesburg şeh-
rinde WADA’nın düzenle-
miş olduğu Dünya Dopingle
Mücadele Konferansı ulus-
lararası spor için gerçekten

Conference, the new
President of the International
Olympic Committee IOC) un-
derlined how important the
doping problem is and sup-
ported the increase in regu-
lar two year sanctions to four
years saying: “I strongly ar-
gued for a lifetime ban for
even a first doping offence.
But my legal colleagues have
made me realise that this is
not possible. Our joint efforts
have one goal: We want to
protect the clean athletes,
all those who compete in the
spirit of fair play. The mil-
lions of dollars to be spent
in fighting against doping
are not expenses. They are
an investment in the future
of sport. The future of sport
greatly depends on our suc-
cess in the fight against dop-
ing. The clean athletes un-
der our responsibility de-
serve our full commitment
and determination.”
In his statement about
the subject, Prof. Dr. Uğur
Erdener, President of the
NOC of Turkey said: “The
WADA World Conference
on Doping in Sports held in
Johannesburg, South Africa
is certainly a milestone for
international sport. The new
World Anti-Doping Code will
take effect on 1 January
