The Turkish Olympic Committee (TOC) and Cameroon National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSC) have teamed up to carry out joint projects focused on sports development in both countries.
CNOSC President and First Vice-President of the Federation of Islamic Solidarity Sports (ISSF) Hamad Malboum, and TOC President and International Olympic Committee (IOC) Vice-President Prof. Dr. Uğur Erdener signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), at the TOC headquarters on 25 February which focuses on sports development and the support of athletes in both countries.
The MoU focuses on the following: encouraging athletes, coaches, technical teams and experts for mutual visits to both countries, sending invitations to participate in competitions held in both countries, organising joint development seminars and courses, information exchange on athletes’ health, anti-doping best practices and preparation camps. A joint commission will also be established to strengthen cooperation between both NOCs.
Before the signing ceremony, Hamad Malboum, Prof. Dr. Uğur Erdener, TOC Vice-President Hasan Arat, TOC Vice-President Nihat Usta, TOC Board Member Âli Kiremitçioğlu and TOC Secretary General Neşe Gündoğan came together to exchange views on the MoU and the following process.
