International Fair Play Committee (CIFP) held the first meeting of 2016 in Sofitel Hotel in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. CIFP Member Erdoğan Arıpınar was also present at the meeting. The Committee determined the award winners of 2015 International Fair Play where Turkey was granted three awards. Turkish Olympic Committee’s (TOC) Universities Fair Play Caravan Project was honoured with a Diploma of Honour in promotion category. Vice-president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and a member of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Executive Committee, Turkish sportsperson Şenes Erzik, who had served Turkish and world football for many years, deemed worthy of the Diploma of Honour in career category. Bursaspor U11 football team, who also had received 2015 European Fair Play Union’s (EFPM) flame award, was honoured with International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach’s fair play award for juniors.
The awards of Turkey will be presented during the Awards Ceremony at the Olympic House, İstanbul on 5 May 2016 where President of CIFP Dr. Jeno Kamuti will also be present.
The Committee also decided on the date of the CIFP General Assembly which will take place in Budapest as 15-16 October 2016.
