Nisan ayında yoğun bir progra-
ma başladık. Önce İstanbul’da
Eyüp Belediyesi’nin desteğiy-
le Eyüplü çocuklarla ilk kez bir
araya gelme fırsatı bulduk. Eyüp
Kültür ve Sanat Merkezi Hayati
Sait Tiyatro Sahnesi’nde iki gün-
de iki bin çocuğa eğitim verdik.
Ardından 06-07 Nisan tarihlerin-
de Osmaniye’deydik. Yine ilk kez
geldiğimiz Osmaniye’de de iki
günde bin 500 çocuğumuzla bir-
likte olduk.
08-10 Nisan tarihleri arasında
Adana’daydık. Ev sahibimiz; oku-
lun tüm imkanlarını diğer okul-
ların öğrencileri ile paylaşan
Adana TED Kolejiydi. Müthiş bir
ev sahipliği yapmalarının yanın-
da, dört bin 500 öğrenciyi güler
yüzle ağırlayıp bizlerle buluştur-
dukları için kendilerine buradan
bir kez daha teşekkür ediyoruz.
Mersin, projemizin başlangı-
cından bu yana istisnasız her
yıl gittiğimiz şehrimizdir. 14-16
Nisan tarihlerinde yine oradaydık.
2011 yılında 23 Yaş Altı Avrupa
Şampiyonası’nda 1,94 metrelik
atlayışıyla Türkiye rekoru kıra-
rak üçüncü olan ve 2012 Londra
Olimpiyat Oyunları’nda spor ta-
rihimizde bir ilki başararak yük-
sek atlama branşında finalde mü-
cadele eden sporcumuz Burcu
Aydın Yüksel Mersin’de bize tat-
lı bir sürpriz yaptı. Sunumumuza
katılan bu değerli milli spor-
cumuzun mütevazılığı, sahne-
de çocuklarla olan iletişimi ona
bir kez daha hayranlık duymamı-
zı sağladı.
Mersin’den sonraki istikameti-
miz Orta Anadolu’nun güzel ken-
ti Çankırı’ydı. Çankırı Cumhuriyet
Başsavcısı Doğan Kaya’nın dave-
ti ile 20-22 Nisan tarihleri arasın-
da bu şirin kentte üç bin 500 ço-
cuğumuzla buluşabilme fırsa-
tı bulduk. Sayın Savcımız geçtiği-
miz yıllarda da projemizi Nazillili
çocuklarla buluşturmamı-
zı sağlamıştı.
of Eyüp Municipality, we had
the opportunity to come togeth-
er for the first time with the chil-
dren of Eyüp District. In a two-day
programme, we gave education
to some two thousand students
at Hayati Sait Theater of Eyüp
Culture and Arts Centre. Then we
went to Osmaniye, another first
time, where we were together
with 2.500 kids during 6-7 April.
Our next stop was Adana between
8-10 April. Our host was Adana
TED College who kindly shared all
facilities of the school with stu-
dents from other schools. We
thank them here once again, not
only for being terrific hosts for us
but also for giving us the opportu-
nity to meet some 4.500 students
which they hosted genially.
Mersin is one of the cities that we
visited every year since the be-
ginning of our Project. We were
there again on April 14-16. Burcu
Aydın Yüksel, who had jumped
1.94m to win the bronze medal at
the 2011 European U23 Athletics
Championships breaking new na-
tional record and who became the
first Turkish athlete ever to com-
pete in the finals of the high jump
in Olympic Games in London 2012,
made us a sweet surprise. Her lev-
el of communication with the chil-
dren from the stage and the mod-
esty of our national athlete won
our and children’s admiration
once again.
Our next destination after Mersin
was the beautiful city of cen-
tral Anatolia, Çankırı. We had the
chance to be together with over
3.500 students during 20-22 April,
thanks to the invitation by Doğan
Kaya, Chief Public Prosecutor of
the Republic there. Esteemed
Public Prosecutor had had pro-
vided our Project the chance to
meet the children of Nazilli in re-
cent years.
