Grekoromen stildeki müsaba-
kaların ilk gününde 130 kilo-
da Rıza Kayaalp gümüş, 80 kilo-
da Selçuk Çebi de bronz madal-
ya kazandı.
Rıza Kayaalp, Macar sporcu Balint
Lam karşısında aldığı 4-0’lık ga-
libiyet ile çeyrek finale yüksel-
di. Çeyrek finalde Estonyalı Heiki
Nabi’yi de 4-0 ile geçerek yarı fi-
nale çıkan milli güreşçimiz, Bulgar
Lyubomir Dimitrov’u da 4-0 önde
iken tuş etti ve altın madalya için
mücadele etmeye hak kazandı.
Finalde Kübalı Mijain Lopez’e 2-0
yenilerek dünya ikincisi oldu.
Selçuk Çebi ise, altıncı gün mü-
sabakalarının sabah seansında
Bulgar ve İranlı rakiplerini mağlup
ederek yarı finale yükseldi. Yarı fi-
nalde Rus rakibine mağlup olan
Çebi, akşam seansında 3-5 mü-
sabakasına çıkma hakkı elde etti.
Çebi, Hırvat Bozo Starcevic’i 1-0
yenerek bronz madalya aldı.
Taşkent’teki şampiyonanın son
gününde sporcularımız yine kür-
süde yer aldı. Grekoromen 71
kiloda mücadele eden Yunus
Özel gümüş madalya elde ede-
rek dünya ikincisi, 98 kiloda
Cenk İldem ise dünya üçüncü-
sü oldu. Yunus Özel, ilk tur maçın-
da Meksikalı Fernando Gomez’i
8-0’lık skorla ve teknik üstünlükle
medal in women’s wrestling.
Yesilirmak, competing in 58 kilo-
grams category, managed to de-
feat the Kazakh and Hungarian ri-
vals to qualify for the quarter fi-
nals. She lost to Russia’s Valeria
Koblova 9-0 and had the right to
play a ‘repechage game’ after
Koblova advanced to the final. In
the ‘repechage’ stage Yesilirmak
defeated her Mongolian oppo-
nent Munkhtuya Tungalag 8-0 and
succeeded in gaining the right to
compete for the bronze medal.
Yesilirmak won the bronze medal,
defeating her Ecuadorian oppo-
nent, Lisset Antes, 8-2.
