In essence, all the players and
athletes of the Club in all sport
branches were to be hired by the
School of Physical Education and
Sports of the University and it was
legally possible. Universities can
and do hire foreign experts in all
fields, including sports, with sal-
aries well above the local coun-
terparts’. Their meals and ac-
commodation expenses as well
as health services and transpor-
tation needs were to be covered
by the University. They would be
able to make use of all camp-
ing and other facilities of the
University, removing the need
for expenses that the Club had
to cover. The players would have
been able to fly for their away
matches as the University already
had the School of Civil Aviation
and means. The foreign trainers
would have been able to devote
their whole times, except for two
hours of lecturing at the School
of Physical Education and Sports,
to the Club, holding the name of
the city. As the School of Physical
Education and Sports accepts stu-
dents for their competence and
talent and not only for the points
scored at the University exams, it
would have been possible to form
A, B, C and D teams of the Club,
from which the successful ones
to make it to the Club team. We
were to establish a Foundation
to meet the expenditures of the

en büyük tekne parkına sahi-
biz, ilimizde Balkan şampiyo-
nası düzenledik. Dragon da-
lında bayan, erkek, yaşlı, genç
Eskişehirlileri su sporlarıy-
la tanıştırdık. Atletizmde beş yıl
önce başlayan okul-belediye ve
kulüp işbirliğiyle yürüttüğümüz
çalışmalar meyvesini vermeye
başladı. Eskişehir’ imizin okul-
ları 2014 yılında Türkiye şampi-
yonu olmayı başardılar. Söz ko-
nusu durum hentbol dalı içinde
geçerlidir. Hentbolda birlikte
çalıştığımız okul takımları-
mız Türkiye şampiyonu
olmuşlardır. Diğer gu-

ball as well. Some other Eskişehir
school teams became national
champions in handball. Another
source of pride for us is that our
youngsters are practicing sail-
ing in the middle of steppes. Every
year some 500 kids complete
their 18 hours basic sailing cours-
es. We are opening winter and
summer schools for swimming.

to the Metropolitan Municipality.
We continue with supporting the
amateur clubs by providing sports
equipment and financial assis-
tance whenever possible.”
What would you say about
the comment of a fellow
townsman about you, saying
“He is a personality who has
contributed a lot to Eskişehir.
However, he has forgotten
that the way to a man’s heart
in Eskişehir, goes through his
Eskişehirspor football club.”

est brand Eskişehir present-
ed to Turkey. Its own potential
is sufficient for success. In the
past, I had developed a mod-
el for Eskişehirspor and submit-
ted it to the administrators of the
Club. The model was aiming at
an administration of the Club un-
der the auspices of the University
