Olimpik Hareket Günleri kap-
samında 2 Haziran’da başla-
yan proje, okulların kapanma-
sıyla 13 Haziran’da son buldu.
Etkinlik her gün bir okulda ger-
çekleşti. Eğlenceli ve interak-
tif oyunların da olduğu Olimpik
eğitim okulların konferans sa-
lonlarında sunulurken, okul
bahçelerinde özel tasarlanan,
farklı spor dallarını içeren is-
tasyonlardan oluşan parkurlar
kuruldu. Sunum sonrası öğren-
ciler takım liderleri eşliğinde bu
parkurlarda sportif faaliyetler-
de yer aldılar. Yarım gün süren
spor dolu etkinlik sonunda ka-
tılımcı öğrencilere Uluslararası
Olimpiyat Komitesi Başkanı
“O
lympic Day”, also known as
the birthday of the mod-
ern Olympic Movement, is the an-
niversary of the foundation of the
International Olympic Committee
(IOC). It is celebrated in June by
more than 205 countries around
the world with various activities
and events. Olympic Day has been
celebrated by the TOC with differ-
ent activities like running, cycling
and rowing in different provinc-
es of the country since 26 years.
The celebrations of this year have
been the stage for a new pro-
ject under the sponsorship of Koç
Holding. Within the scope of the
project, designed in line with the
Olympic Day motto:
“Move, Learn
and Discover”
, Olympic education
was given to some 3.000 students
aged between 9 and 12 years old
from 10 different schools. Kartal,

doğum günü olarak bilinen
Olimpik Gün, Haziran ayı için-
de dünyada 205’den fazla ül-
kede çeşitli etkinliklerle kutla-
nıyor. Ülkemizde de 26 sene-
dir farklı illerde koşu, bisiklet,
kürek yarışları gibi aktiviteler-
le düzenlenen Olimpik Gün, bu
yıl Koç Holding ana sponsor-
luğunda farklı bir projeye imza
attı. Olimpik Gün’ün
“Hareket et,
Öğren ve Keşfet”
sloganına uy-
gun olarak kurgulanan proje-
de iki hafta boyunca 10 oku-
la gidildi ve 9-12 yaş grubun-
daki yaklaşık üç bin öğrenci-
ye önce Olimpik Eğitim veril-
di, sonrasında ise öğrencile-
re spor yaptırıldı. Projeye Kartal

participating in the Olympic Day
celebrations project.
The project started on 2 June of the
academic year and ended on 13
th
with the closing of the academ-
ic year. The activities took place in
a school every day, providing an in-
teractive and entertaining Olympic
Education programme in the con-
ference halls of the schools and
a host of various sport activities
conducted at the school yards.
Following the programme, which
lasted half a day at each school,
participating students were award-
ed certificates signed by Thomas
Bach, President of the International
