Gençlik Olimpiyat Oyunları 10
gün süren sportif mücadele son-
rası 28 Ağustos Perşembe günü
düzenlenen kapanış töreni ile
noktalandı. Çin Başbakanı Li
Keqiang’ın da hazır bulundu-
ğu kapanış töreninde konuşan
Uluslararası Olimpiyat Komitesi
(IOC) Başkanı Thomas Bach, or-
ganizasyon komitesine ve gönül-
lülere teşekkür etti. Oyunların ka-
panışında bayrağımızı modern
pentatlon dalında yarışan İlke
Özyüksel taşıdı. Gençlik Olimpiyat
Oyunlar dört yıl sonra Arjantin’in
Buenos Aires kentinde yapılacak.
2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic
Games was concluded on
Wednesday, 27
th
of August, with
competitions held in 8 sports.
Cabbar Duyum (49 kg) in Men’s
Freestyle wrestling, lost 4-0 to
his opponent from USA in the
first round, then won 3-1 against
his Egyptian and Nicaraguan
opponents, to make it to the
third-place match. Winning 3-1
against Colombian Oscar Urbano
he took his place among our
bronze medallists.
Following the 10 days of com-
petitions, the 2

Summer Youth
Olympic Games organized in
Nanjing was declared ‘closed’ on
Thursday, 28
th
of August 2014.
President Thomas Bach of the
International Olympic Committee
thanked the Organizing
Committee and the volun-
teers at the Closing Ceremony
where Chinese Prime Minister
Li Keqiang was also present.
İlke Özyüksel was the flag bear-
er for Turkey during the Closing
Ceremony. The next Youth
Olympic Games will be organized
four years later, in Buenos Aires,
Argentina.
