Beşiktaş Kulübü’nün Onursal Başkanı, örnek spor adamı Süleyman
Seba 13 Ağustos 2014 tarihinde İstanbul’da yaşama gözlerini yumdu.
Kısa süre önce 2013 Türkiye Fair Play Ödülleri kapsamında TMOK’un
ilk Onur Ödülü’ne değer bulunan Seba’ya bu ödülü tedavi görmekte
olduğu hastanede takdim edilmişti.
Turkish football club Beşiktaş Honorary Chairman and exemplary
sports person Süleyman Seba passed away in Istanbul at the age of 88
on August 13. A short while ago, the ‘Honours Award’ within the 2013
Turkish Fair Play Awards of the TOC had been presented to Süleyman
Seba at the hospital where he was receiving medical treatment.

first-ever ‘Honours Award’
of the TOC
Süleyman Seba was deemed
worthy of the firstly introduced
‘Honours Award’ within the 2013
Turkish Fair Play Awards of the
TOC as a person who has al-
ways exhibited attitudes in line
with fair-play spirit and set an
example for the sports commu-
nity with his gentlemanly and
conciliatory acts and expressions
in his sporting and administra-

Türk futbolunun unutulmaz ismi,
bir süredir tedavi gördüğü Koç
Vakfı Amerikan Hastanesi’nde
yaşamını yitirdi. Beşiktaş
Dolmabahçe’de yapımı süren
Vodafone Arena Stadı’nda 15
Ağustos Cuma günü öğle saatle-
rinde gerçekleştirilen törenin ar-
dından Dolmabahçe’deki Bezm-i
Alem Valide Sultan Camisi’nde
getirilen Seba’nın naaşı, burada
kılınan cenaze namazının ardın-
dan Feriköy Mezarlığı’na defne-
dildi. Vodafone Arena’da düzen-
lenen törende Beşiktaş Kulübü
Başkanı Fikret Orman, yönetim
kurulu üyeleri, siyah-beyazlı ku-
lübün eski başkan ve yöneticile-
ri, Beşiktaşlı futbolcular, futbol
takımı teknik direktörü Bilic ve
teknik heyetin yanı sıra, basket-
bol, voleybol, hentbol başta ol-
mak üzere tüm amatör branştaki
sporcular törende hazır bulundu.

Komitesi’nin 2013 Türkiye Fair
Play Ödülleri kapsamında ilk kez
koyduğu TMOK Onur Ödülü’ne,
sporculuk yaşamı ve yönetici-
lik yaptığı yıllar boyunca cen-
tilmen, uzlaştırıcı davranışla-
rı ve söylemleri ile spor camia-
sına örnek olması nedeniyle bu
yıl Süleyman Seba değer bulun-
muştu. 13 Mayıs 2014 akşamı
Olimpiyatevi’nde düzenlenen
törende ailesinden Prof. Dr.
Ayhan Kızıl’a teslim edilen
ödül, o tarihte tedavi gör-
mekte olan

eba, the unforgettable name
of Turkish football, died at
the Koç Foundation’s American
Hospital in İstanbul. On 15 August
2014, after the memorial cere-
mony held for Seba at Beşiktaş’s
Vodafone Arena Stadium which is
under construction, he was taken
to the Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan
Mosque in Dolmabahçe for funer-
al prayers. He was buried at the
Feriköy Cemetery.
