Türkiye’deki tüm spor yöneticileri-
nin,
“Başarıyı nasıl yakalarız, nasıl
sağlıklı bir nesil yetiştiririz, gençleri
spora nasıl daha çok çekeriz, hal-
kı sporla nasıl buluştururuz, çocuk-
ların spor yapmasını engelleyecek
dersleri, imtihanları, sporla birbiri-
ne nasıl entegre ederiz”
gibi konu-
lar üzerinde çalıştıklarını anlatan
Arat,
“Türk sporunda altyapı ta-
mamlandı. Bundan sonra artık ço-
cuklarımızın geleceğine yönelik bir
spor politikası oluşturulacak”
de-
ğerlendirmesinde bulundu.
Kongre boyunca yaptıkları temas-
larda zaman zaman İstanbul’un
Olimpiyat adaylığının da günde-
me geldiğini kaydeden Hasan Arat,
“Büyük bir talihsizlik, İstanbul’un
bu yarışı kazanması gerekiyor-
du. Başından beri en büyük fa-
vori İstanbul’du. Aslında biz kay-
betmedik, Türkiye bu yarışta çok
şey kazandı. Kongrede, İstanbul’a,
Türkiye’ye duyulan saygının, adaylık
süresince kurulan ilişkilerin ağırlığını
bir kez daha gördük”
diye konuştu.
“Türkiye’nin hem turizm hem de
hizmet sektöründe tüm dünya-
yı kendine hayran bırakan bir kim-
liği vardı. Bu kongrede bir kez daha
gördük ki Türkiye, gelişen müthiş
bir ülke, yepyeni tesisleri ve mü-
kemmel bir altyapısı var. Bundan
böyle turizm ve sporu bir arada ya-
pılandıracak, yeni vizyonlar aça-
cak hedefler koymak gerekiyor.
Kongre, bunun için çok iyi bir baş-
langıç oldu. Dünya sporunu yöne-
ten üst düzey isimlerin, bu geliş-
meleri seminerde yakından gör-
mesi Türkiye için çok önemli bir
yol açtı. Zira kongreye Uluslararası
Olimpiyat Komitesi’nden yaz ve kış
olimpiyatlarına dahil olan, Olimpik
ve Olimpik olmayan tüm branş-
ların üst düzey yöneticileri katıl-
dı. Türkiye bir dönem yaşıyor, bu-
güne kadar yönetimsel yapılanma-
yı oturtmaya çalıştı. Gençlik ve Spor
Bakanlığı’nın yeni ve müthiş bir te-
sis yatırımı var. Bizimki belki de büt-
çesi en yüksek bakanlıklardan bi-
risi. Artık bu yatırımların meyvesini
alma vakti geldi.”

of the organization in such a per-

Convention that Turkey is a ter-
rific developing country with its
brand new venues and perfect in-
frastructure.”
Making assess-
ments after the Convention and
highlighting the success of the
organization Arat noted: “
Turkey
did have a brand identity in tour-
ism and services sectors riveting
the whole world. We have once
again seen via this Convention
that Turkey is a terrific developing
country; it has brand new instal-
lations and a perfect infrastruc-
ture. From now on, we must set
new goals and vision to structure
tourism and sports together. The
Convention has been a very good
start for that. All the top level ex-
ecutives, from the International
Olympic Committee to the Olympic
and non-Olympic International
Sports Federations, participat-
ed at the Convention. Close wit-
nessing of these developments
by the prominent leaders of the
sports world has opened a new
and important path for Turkey.
Turkey is living through a new
era. Up till now, it had tried to
set in the administrative struc-
turing. The Ministry of Youth and
Sports has launched a new and
awesome installations invest-
ment plan with a budget proba-
bly the highest they ever had. Now
it’s time now to reap the fruits of
these investments.”
Explaining that all the sports ad-
ministrators in Turkey are now
concentrating on issues like “
How
can we achieve success, how can
we raise a healthy generation,
how can we orientate the youth
more towards sports, how can we
engage people in sports, how can
we integrate the sports and the
curriculum, exams that prevent
our youngsters involvement in
