İstanbul Yarı Maratonu’yla ilgili
olarak şunları söyledi:
“Vodafone Türkiye olarak ileti-
şim gücümüz ve global bilgi bi-
rikimimiz ile ülkemizde spor far-
kındalığı ve izlenirliğini artırır-
ken, diğer yandan spor izleyici-
leri ve katılımcılarının dijital de-
neyimlerini zenginleştirmek üze-
re desteklerimizi gerçekleştiriyo-
ruz. Sporun, toplumların ekono-
mik ve sosyal gelişiminde üst-
lendiği işlevin bilinciyle tüm ana
ve alternatif spor dallarına büyük
önem veriyoruz. Spor etkinlikle-
rini dört mevsime yayarak, spo-
run bir yaşam biçimi haline gel-
mesi için çalışıyoruz. Bu doğrul-
tuda, dünyada pek çok şehirde
geleneksel olarak organize edi-
len ve ‘dünyanın en hızlı büyüyen
yarış tipi’ olarak bilinen yarı ma-
ratonu desteklemenin mutlulu-
ğunu yaşıyoruz. İstanbul’un tari-
hi dokusunu nefes nefese hisset-
tiğimiz tarihi yarımada parkuru-
muzu beş bine yakın sporseverin
katılımıyla coşku içinde tamam-
ladık. Umarız iki sene içerisinde
Vodafone İstanbul Yarı Maratonu
da IAAF’nin Gold Label kategori-
sinde yer alacak. İstanbul’un bir
maraton başkenti haline gelme-
sinin, her yıl on binlerce sporcu
ve turisti çekerek, şehrin ve ülke-
mizin ekonomisine büyük katkılar
sunacağına inanıyoruz. Vodafone
İstanbul Yarı Maratonu, İstanbul
markasının global arenada yük-
selmesine de katkıda bulunacak
bir etkinlik olarak bizim için bü-
yük değer taşıyor.”

Turkey, commented on the
Vodafone Istanbul Half Marathon
and said:
“As Vodafone Turkey
we are, on the one hand, try-
ing to increase sports aware-
ness and the number of specta-
tors in our country to the best of
our communication powers and
global accumulation of knowl-
edge and providing technical sup-
port to enrich the digital experi-
ences of the athletes and spec-
tators on the other. Being very
much aware of the role sports
play in the social and econom-
ic development of communities,
we attach great importance to all
main and alternative sport dis-
ciplines. We are trying to dis-
seminate sporting events to all
year round and our best to make
sports a way of life for all. We are
very pleased to support the Half
Marathon, known as the world’s
fastest growing race type and or-
ganized traditionally in many cit-
ies all over the world. Together
with almost five thousand partic-
ipants, we completed the histor-
ical peninsula course in enthusi-
asm where we breathlessly felt
the historical texture of İstanbul.
We hope that within two years the
Vodafone Istanbul Half Marathon
shall take its place in the Gold
Label Road Races category of the
IAAF. We believe that İstanbul’s
becoming a capital city of mara-
thons will lead to attracting tens
of thousands of athletes and vis-
itors every year, making signif-
icant contributions to the econ-
omy of the city and the country.
Vodafone Istanbul Half Marathon
carries great value for us as an
event that will help the steady
rise of the ‘İstanbul Brand’ in the
global arena.”
