Hasan Arat
Hasan Arat, Vice President
of the NOC of Turkey, was
born in Adana in 1959 and
graduated from the Faculty
of Business Administration,
Istanbul University. He was
officially appointed as the
leader of the Candidature
Committee during Istanbul ’s
candidacy for the 2020
Olympic and Paralympic
Games. A former top-lev-
el professional basketball
player having played for
five years in the Beşiktaş
Gymnastic Club Arat later
became the Vice President
of the Club during the pres-
idency of Süleyman Saba
and also served as the Vice
President of the Turkish
Basketball Federation. Arat
is among the founding
members of Educational
Volunteers Foundation of
Turkey (TEGV), the Turkish
Economic and Social
Studies Foundation (TESEV)
and Textile Manufacturers
Association’s GSD
Educational Foundation.

Olympic Laurel’ ödülü verildi.

du ve İstanbul Üniversitesi
İşletme Fakültesi’nden me-
zun oldu. İstanbul ’un 2020
Olimpiyat ve Paralimpik
Oyunları’na adaylığı döne-
minde İstanbul 2020 Adaylık
Komitesi Başkanlığını yü-
rüttü. Geçmişte Beşiktaş
Jimnastik Kulübü’nde beş yıl
profesyonel basketbol oyna-
dı. Süleyman Seba döneminde
Beşiktaj Jimnastik Kulübü’nün
başkan yardımcılığı ve Türkiye
Basketbol Federasyonu’nda
ikinci başkanlık görevlerinde
bulundu. Arat, Türkiye Eğitim
Gönüllüleri Vakfı (TEGV),
Türkiye Ekonomik ve Sosyal
Etütler Vakfı (TESEV) ve GSD
Eğitim Vakfı’nın da kurucu
üyeleri arasında yer alıyor.
