nasındaki törende konuşan
yeni Bakan Kılıç, “Zor bir göre-
vi devraldığımın farkındayım.
Bizler burada makam için, kol-
tuk için bulunmuyoruz, bizler
burada milletimize, devletimize
hizmet için, bu sevdayla bu-
radayız. Bizler burada hizmet-
karız. Kalıcı olan, milletimizdir,
devletimizdir. Allah güç verir
ise sizlerin dualarıyla ve deste-
ğiyle ülkemizin gençliğini, ge-
leceğini muasır medeniyetler
seviyesinin üstüne taşımak için
bu kardeşiniz gece gündüz ça-
lışacak” diye konuştu.

Akif Çağatay Kılıç, appointed as
the Minister of Youth and Sports,
took over his office from Suat
Kılıç on 27 December. Minister
Kılıç, in his speech during the
handover ceremony held at the
Ministry building said: “I am
aware that it is a difficult as-
signment I am taking over. We
are not here in greed for office
or chair; we are here to serve
our nation and our state with
love. We are the public serv-
ants here and only our na-
tion and our state is perpetu-
al. If Allah gives me strength
and with your prayers and sup-
port, this brother of yours shall
work day and night to carry the
youth and future of our country
above the level of contempo-
rary civilizations.”

öğrenimini İstanbul Alman
Lisesi’nde, yükseköğrenimini
İngiltere Hertfordshire
Üniversitesi “Siyaset Bilimi
ve Avrupa Ekonomisi”
bölümünde tamamladı.
Sabancı Holding Universal
Trading Uk Şirketi’nde
satın alma görevlisi olarak
çalıştı. 2003’te Adalet ve
Kalkınma Partisi Genel
Merkezi’nde ‘Danışman’
olarak hizmet yaptı.
Başbakan Müşavirliği, Özel
Kalem Müdür Yardımcılığı
görevlerinde bulundu. 24.

Germany on 15 June 1976.
His father’s name is Sinan
and his mother’s name is
Behire Yıldız. He graduated
from İstanbul Alman Lisesi
(İstanbul German Lycée)
before studying at the
University of Hertfordshire
‘School of Political Sciences
and European Economy’.
He worked in Sabancı
Holding Universal Trading
UK company as a purchasing
officer. He served as a
‘Consultant’ at the General
Headquarters of the Justice
and Development Party in
2013 and later, as Advisor
to the Prime Minister and
Deputy Chief of Cabinet
(Office of the Prime Minister).
He was elected as Deputy
from Samsun Province for the

Legislative Term of the
Grand National Assembly
of Turkey. He was a
member of the Committee
on International Affairs
of the Grand National
Assembly and a member
of the Turkish Delegation
to the NATO Parliamentary
Assembly (NATOPA).
He also served as Vice
President of the Foreign
Affairs of the Justice
and Development Party
and Co-Chair of the
Turkey-Germany Inter-
Parliamentary Friendship
Group at the Turkish
Parliament. He is proficient
in German and English
languages. Kılıç, involved
in equestrian, tennis and
skiing, is married with two
children.
