of Women’s Judo Turkish Super
League, placed third at the
European Judo Championships
for Clubs 2013 organized in
Paris. Winning the first two
group matches Galatasaray
reached the quarter-finals of
the Championships, some-
times referred to as the
‘Champions League’ of judo,
where the best teams of
Europe meet. Beating Italy’s
Fiamme Gialle in the quar-
ter-finals Galatasaray lost to
France’s Maisons Alfort 3-2 at
the semi-finals. The victori-
ous French team later won the
European Team title.
